Holding an M.Sc. in Water Resources and Environment of the University of Chile, Edinsson worked as a hydrogeologist with five years of experience in experimental studies and numerical modelling. His interests lie in treatment techniques for emerging organic pollutants, related to managed aquifer recharge solutions.
Marcel graduated in geology with emphasis in hydrogeology at University of Jena, Germany, and worked four years as hydrogeologist focusing on the environmental fate of pesticides. He is interested in the fate and behaviour of organic emerging pollutants - originating from effluents of wastewater treatment plants - in aquatic systems and soil.
José is a geological engineer with two years of working experience in hydrogeological monitoring. He holds an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Groundwater and Global Change. His interest is in finding ways to adapt to climate change from a hydrogeological perspective, specifically when it comes to the technical design of MAR systems.
Rodrigo graduated as a hydraulics engineer at Universidad de Chile. His research interests are related to numerical modelling applied to environmental fluid mechanics. He has a strong background in information technologies improving the handling, consumption and processing of large datasets, skills that will certainly support his planned research work.
Vera obtained an M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering at the Darmstadt Technical University in Germany, where she focused her studies on water supply and groundwater management. For her PhD research she is interested in the interactions between emerging organic compunds and biofilms (biosorption, biodegradation) and the modelling of these processes.
With an M.Sc. in Water Resources Management and Hydroinformatics (EuroAquae), Esteban is a civil engineer with specialising in sanitation and water resources. He is interested in the effects of MAR in groundwater rich in Arsenic and Boron beside the use of this water for irrigation, and in the development of tools to study these phenomena.
Francesco graduated at the Politecnico di Bari, Italy, with an M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering and a Master's thesis on the analysis of risk for groundwater connected to the practice of land disposal of treated wastewater. His interests lie in modelling the application of different MAR techniques for the development of a seawater intrusion barrier in Malta.
Rebecca specializes in hydrogeology, having obtained her Master’s degree in Water Resources Engineering from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL), Belgium. Her wider interest is in the research of groundwater/surface water interaction, hydrogeological modelling, water quality, and rain water harvesting.
Maria is an environmental engineer with an M.Sc. in Environmental and Land Planning Engineering. She is interested in the analysis of complex environmental systems when tackling management plans, and in increasing her skills in performing reliable predictions through modelling and monitoring techniques.
Kath is a hydrogeologist with 15 years of experience working in the water, mining and industrial sectors, in diverse locations including Australia, Canada, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Qatar, and the UK. She intends to investigate the potential for regional MAR solutions in the Algarve to improve the status of groundwater bodies under the Water Framework Directive.
Gera is a civil engineer with two years of experience in infrastructure design. He holds an M.Sc. in Hydroinformatics and Water Management (EuroAquae - a joint degree of Université de Nice, France, BTU Cottbus, Germany, Newcastle University, UK, and UPC Barcelona, Spain) and is interested in numerical modelling of complex hydrologic and hydraulic processes.
Angeliki is a Dipl. Mining Engineer, holding an M.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering and an M.Sc. in Exploration Geophysics. She has three years of working experience in data processing of marine seismic data. Her scientific interests are subsurface modeling, model calibration, sensitivity analysis and uncertainty.
MARSoluT - Managed Aquifer Recharge Solutions Training Network - is a four-year Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Innovative Training Network (ITN) funded by the European Commission.
